As I said, we are in Santa Fe on the right week end of the year. The Santa Fe Fiesta is in full swing.
At 9:00 there was a kids parade along with their pets. We saw mostly dogs, but also cats, snakes, hamsters, ferrets, a whole lot of stuffed animals.
There are many food booths. A few were selling roasted corn.
We saw a dance called Bailey de Espanola de Santa Fe.
These pre-schooners were really cute. |
This town is an arts center. There are jewelry stores after jewelry stores. There were lots of tents set up for the Festival selling a wide variety of arts and crafts.
Some of us walked through the art shops on Canyon Road. Amazing!! We saw paintings priced upwards of $50,000 and Jan found a rug she liked priced at $16,000. We wonder if this is where the proverbial 1% comes to buy their art. We had a great time looking.
